We are currently looking for.: 

Production Planner

Main responsibilities: 

1. Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.

2. Schedule the supply of components to meet production requirements.

3. Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and arecost-efficient.
4. Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
5. Coordinating with the production planner regarding productionrequirement, timelines, etc.
6. Generate and communicate supplier material delivery planning andforecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands.
7. Managing inventory issues, planning changes, and cancellations.
8. Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production planningand take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affectproduction.
9. Highlight potential raw materials shortfalls to Production Planner andwork out contingency plan to meet all production schedules.
10. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material deliveryfrom supplier to plant.
11. Review raw materials safety stock setting to maintain at an optimuminventory level to achieve, avoid stock out and minimize slow moving andobsolescence.
12. Minimize obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimumliability.
13. Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance inconjunction with members of the purchasing team.
14. Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and supportcontinuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
15. Create, maintain and release master data in SAP.
16. Performs other related duties, as required.

Requirements and skills: 

• Bachelor'sdegree in Inventory Management, Logistics or a related field preferred
• 4 years ofexperience in production planning, inventory management, or a related position.
• Excellentknowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Knowledgeof manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Proficientwith Microsoft Office Tools and ERP systems (in particular SAP).
• Ability tomanage time effectively. 
• Excellentcommunication skills. 
• Goodorganizational skills. 
• Ability tosolve complex problems. 
• Should workin a team as well as independently. 
• Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills.
