Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team.

  • This role involves greeting patients, activating patient files, and providing support to patients and medical staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, and a valid State License to perform X-Rays. Additionally, they should possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Promptly greet patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room.
  • Consistently communicate with patients on wait times; provide direction to the next step in the treatment process.
  • Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent/hazardous situations.
  • Timely follow up regarding lab and x-ray results.
  • Execute follow-up calls with urgency.
  • Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary.
  • Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family, and social history current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
  • Assist with patient transfers.
  • Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
  • Assist in lab procedures under the supervision of the provider.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Regional Operation Manager or provider on duty.
  • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit.
  • Maintain examination room and stock if necessary.
  • Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies.
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, medical procedures, and laboratory procedures appropriate for level of training under the direction of a provider.
