Job Title: International Trade Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to implement a Customs and VAT program for all our entities in Tunisia. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, logistics, procurement, finance, and central customs teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce Customs and VAT policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support local teams with Customs and VAT matters, including operational tasks and coordination with central customs.
- Monitor compliance with existing procedures and regulations.
- Manage customs applications, monitor requirements, and ensure timely submissions.
- Monitor performance of customs brokers and optimize their services.
- Conduct regular risk assessments of various locations and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other Customs Managers to ensure compliance across common flows, focusing on Poland.
- Ensure VAT compliance in Tunisia and implement required processes.
- Coordinate communication with Customs, VAT authorities, and external advisors.
- Coordinate audits and provide support as needed.
- Design and deliver focused training sessions on special customs topics.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding origin documentation, customs classification, and related information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Customs Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent understanding of local customs regulations and procedures.
- 3-5 years of experience in customs functions, preferably in a fully exporting company.
- Previous exposure to business policy development and process governance within an international organization.
- Experience with VAT is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Highest level of integrity, customer focus, and ability to inspire superior performance.
- Strong systems skills, database management, and analytical abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Good communication skills in both French and English.
