Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech

As a Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care at our Urgent Care facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for greeting patients, activating patient files, and providing support to patients and medical staff.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promptly greeting patients when entering waiting areas, exam rooms, and laboratory or x-ray rooms
- Consistently communicating with patients on wait times and providing direction to the next step in the treatment process
- Providing solutions to patient problems and recognizing and seeking help in emergent/hazardous situations
- Timely follow-up regarding lab and x-ray results
- Executing follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
- Assisting front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary
- Obtaining and accurately documenting patient vital signs and weight, taking brief history, past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
- Assisting with patient transfers
- Assisting with procedures directly supervised by the provider
- Preparing patients for radiologic procedures and following established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
- Ensuring that equipment is in proper working order and reporting any malfunctions to the Regional Operation Manager or provider on duty
- Following documentation procedures and completing required documentation related to patient visits
- Maintaining examination room and stocking if necessary
- Adhering to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- A Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience
- A valid State License to perform X-Rays
- BLS Certification
