The primary goal of this position is to transport oversized and overweight loads safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant state and federal regulations.
Main ResponsibilitiesSafely operate heavy haul trucks to transport oversized and overweight loads, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Develop and execute optimized routes that minimize risks and maximize efficiency.
Implement secure loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage or loss of cargo.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on the truck to guarantee optimal performance and safety.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cargo, routes, and hours of service.
Foster effective communication with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to ensure seamless coordination and resolution of issues.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy haul transportation.
- Possession of a valid CDL with relevant endorsements.
- Thorough understanding of state and federal transportation regulations.
- Ability to operate and maintain heavy haul equipment effectively.
- Superb problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
