Med Surg Nursing Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified nursing assistant to assist with patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. This position is available for Days and Nights shifts within departments across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required for this role.
Certification Required:
CPR certification is mandatory. A sign-on bonus may be available for qualified candidates who meet certain qualifications.
Bonus Qualifications:
Must have current nursing assistant certification. Must have at least one year of hospital experience. This position is open to both internal and external applicants.
Nursing Assistant Job Description
Assists nursing service personnel with various patient care activities such as taking vital signs, changing bed linens, serving and collecting food trays, providing between-meal nourishment, and cleaning, sterilizing, storing, and preparing supplies. May also assist with personal hygiene tasks.
