Role mission:

 Under the direction of the Head of Finance, the Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, general accounting, tax
filings, and assisting with the monthly closing process.

The role also ensures compliance with tax and legal obligations, while delivering accurate and reliable financial statements.

Responsabilities : 

-Manage the general ledger by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and
classified according to accounting standards.
-Reconcile accounting statements and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues in a timely
manner.
-Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, and prepare reports to support financial
reporting, analysis, and audits.
-Process payment runs, including preparing payment requests, obtaining necessary approvals,
and ensuring timely execution.
-Support the monthly and annual closing processes by preparing journal entries, performing
reconciliations, and conducting variance analysis to ensure financial reports are accurate and
timely.
-Prepare and record cut-off entries to ensure accurate financial reporting at period-end.
-Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts as required,
providing accurate and timely financial data.
-Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings such as VAT, CIT
instalments, Withholding Taxes, CIT filing, and employer yearly declarations.
-Ensure the proper archiving of all accounting and tax documents, maintaining compliance with
legal and regulatory requirements for document retention.
-Respond to internal and external audit inquiries in a timely and accurate manner and assist
with any follow-up requests to ensure audit readiness.
-Maintain accurate and compliant archiving of all accounting and tax documents. Ensure
all financial records are retained in accordance with legal requirements and company
policy.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management,
tax compliance, financial reporting, and closing processes.
-Proficiency in accounting software, ideally working with SAGE X3 or a similar system
-Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations, including US GAAP and
local tax laws
-Experience with tax compliance, including VAT, CIT instalments, and other local tax obligations.
-Experience managing both internal and external audits, responding to audit inquiries, and
ensuring regulatory compliance
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
