Position Summary

The X-Ray Quality Inspector is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) using X-ray techniques to ensure the integrity and quality of aerospace castings. The role ensures compliance with customer specifications, aerospace standards, and Pursuit Aerospace quality requirements, supporting our mission of delivering safe, reliable, and high-performance components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate X-ray inspection equipment to evaluate castings for internal defects such as porosity, inclusions, or cracks.

  • Interpret radiographic images in accordance with applicable standards (NAS 410, ASTM, customer specs).

  • Record, document, and report inspection results in line with quality control procedures.

  • Verify that products meet engineering drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of parts.

  • Identify non-conforming conditions and initiate NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.

  • Support root-cause investigations and corrective action plans related to casting defects.

  • Ensure calibration and safe operation of X-ray equipment, following all radiation safety procedures.

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to continuously improve casting quality.
