RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setup and operate all CNC lathes or mills
* Ability to train operators to maximize operational proficiency
* Ensure dimensions meet requirements before submitting first piece
* Make some edits to programs in milling and turning
* Recommend changes to Engineering Setup
* Work with engineering on machining enhancements and technology
* Champion progressive change, set up reduction, continuous improvement and flow line principles
* Run Labor Standards where appropriate
* Partner with Supervisor in monitoring/improving operator applied time and performance vs. labor standards
* Trouble shoot problems in CNC areas
* Achieve all time standards
* Meet all Quality Requirements and use QC equipment
* Meet and follow all safety guidelines and lead by example
* Must be able to run more than 1 job simultaneously
* Knowledge and experience with cutter selection
* Experience with High-temp alloys
* Must follow AS9100 procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Programming and MasterCam skills a plus Education and/or
Experience:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Cad School courses a plus
* 10 years minimum experience in machining
* 5 year minimum CNC overall experience
