Data Engineer

Job Description
The Data Engineering team is 8 people running about 20 projects on Microsoft Azure, from data ingestion to Power BI reporting. It works on two connected platforms:
• A data platform built on Azure Synapse. It brings data from our ERP and business systems into a data lake and makes it available to Power BI reports.
• An integration platform built on Azure Data Factory. It exchanges data, in both directions, with the SaaS tools and partners the group uses: HR and payroll, finance and treasury, expenses, purchasing, learning and project management. The team works closely with business teams, the infrastructure team and external vendors. The role You will build and run the data flows between Mantu and its SaaS partners, and help maintain the data platform behind our reporting. You will own each flow from start to finish, in both directions: from a partner's API to our data lake, and from our data back to the partner. Your missions
• Design, build and maintain data flows with SaaS tools and partners through REST APIs, SFTP and file exchange.
• Turn business needs into technical specifications, with the functional leads.
• Work with vendor teams on API specifications, test environments and go-live.
• Build reusable, parameterized pipelines rather than one-off flows.
• Bring new sources into the data lake and maintain the related pipelines (Azure Synapse, PySpark).
• Monitor the flows, fix incidents and keep business teams and partners informed.
• Support the reporting teams on data quality and availability.
• Deploy changes through Azure DevOps (Git, CI/CD).
• Document the flows and share knowledge within the team.

Your profile
You have at least 5 years of experience in data integration or data engineering on Azure, with a stronger background in integration. Required
• Azure Data Factory: pipelines, mapping dataflows, triggers, parameters
• Azure Synapse pipelines and PySpark notebooks
• REST APIs, including OAuth2 authentication, pagination and error handling
• SFTP and file exchange (CSV, JSON, XML)
• Incremental loading (watermarks, change detection)
• Strong SQL skills
• Azure DevOps (Git, CI/CD) Strong plus
• Data lake formats (Parquet, Delta)
• Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions and Event Hubs
• Azure Key Vault and managed identities
• Experience with an integration platform (iPaaS) such as MuleSoft or Boomi
• Experience integrating HR, payroll or finance SaaS tools Soft Skills
