Association Sportive El Hamma (ASH) | El Hamma, Tunisia
Internship | Hybrid | Unpaid
About ASH
Association Sportive El Hamma (ASH) is a football club based in El Hamma, Tunisia, founded in 2014 by local coaches and educators committed to youth development and community-focused sport.
After entering senior competition in the 2022–2023 season and earning promotion shortly afterwards, ASH currently competes in Tunisia’s Division 3 – Level B.
As the club enters a new stage of development, we are building a structured media operation focused on strengthening ASH’s digital presence, visual identity, supporter engagement, and connection with the local community.
The Role
We are looking for a Media & Social Media Intern to become one of the first members of ASH’s developing media team.
You will work directly with the Media Department on the club’s day-to-day digital communications and matchday coverage, while contributing to the systems, content formats, and ideas that will shape ASH’s media presence going forward.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibilities and published work.
Responsibilities
You will contribute to:
Planning and maintaining the weekly content calendar.
Preparing and publishing content on Facebook and Instagram.
Writing captions, match announcements, results, club updates, and other communications.
Producing and updating Stories around matches, training sessions, and club activities.
Collecting and verifying lineups, results, statistics, and information required for publication.
Supporting matchday media operations.
Developing content ideas and supporter-engagement initiatives.
Monitoring comments, messages, and audience interaction.
Organizing graphics, photos, videos, documents, and other assets within the club’s media archive.
Tracking basic social media performance and identifying what content performs well.
Contributing ideas to the development of ASH’s digital identity and media presence.
What We're Looking For
We do not require previous professional employment in media, but applicants should demonstrate a real foundation to build on.
Required
Strong written Arabic and the ability to communicate clearly.
Good understanding of Facebook and Instagram and how content is presented on each platform.
Basic understanding of social media content, including posts, Stories and short-form video.
Good judgment regarding what is appropriate for an official club account.
Creativity and the ability to contribute useful content ideas.
Attention to detail, particularly when handling names, scores, dates and official information.
Reliability and ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Ability to work independently and accept feedback.
Availability to attend matches and selected club activities in El Hamma when required.
Genuine interest in football, sports media, digital communication, marketing, or content creation.
An Advantage, But Not Required
Experience managing a social media page, project, club, association, business, or personal content account.
Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or other design skills.
CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or other video-editing skills.
Photography or mobile content-creation experience.
Previous work in sports media or football content.
French and/or English.
Studies or training in media, communication, marketing, graphic design, journalism, or a related field.
Students, recent graduates, and self-taught applicants are welcome. Professional experience is not required.
What You'll Gain
This is an unpaid internship intended to provide substantial practical experience rather than observational work.
You will:
Produce real work published through an active football club.
Build material for your professional portfolio.
Gain practical experience in sports media and football communications.
Participate in matchday media operations.
Receive direct guidance and feedback.
Take ownership of real responsibilities and projects.
Learn how a football club plans, produces, publishes, and evaluates its media content.
Participate in building a media department from its early stages.
Strong performance can lead to greater responsibilities within the media team as the department develops.
Working Arrangement
The internship is hybrid.
A significant part of the planning, writing, organization, and digital work can be completed remotely. Physical presence in El Hamma will be required for selected matches, meetings, training sessions, and club activities.
