Job Summary:
Ensure compliance with the International and Local Sanctions programs and Handling KYC related issues

Responsibilities:
Work fully within compliance policies, procedures and regulations; assists the Head of Compliance & Corporate Governance to perform all issues related to Sanctions. Ensure compliance with the International and Local Sanctions lists (including sanctions programs administered by CBE, OFAC, UN, EU, Internal local & Kuwait lists) collectively referred to as “Sanctions”, through the establishment and operation of the global risk management framework to meet legislative and regulatory requirements in EGYPT. Safe Watch Alert Management: verify the actions taken by the “Makers” the branches Head Cash. Screening of newly opened accounts: Ensure Sanction Screening using the E-name Checker Application prior to opening the accounts on the system. Creates the Local Watch Lists in WLM system application, in addition to regularly update, monitor the proper management of all WLM alerts. Receive and reply to CBE/EMLCU on negative listed names and upload on WLM. Collect, monitor and review Sanctions Key Performance Indicators, review incidents and breaches and consolidate customer-screening alert clearing performance Checking transactions to /from high-risk countries. Applying complete sanctions program to be executed by all departments Participates in preparing the quarter/annual reports related to Sanctions, which presents to Audit Committee and Board of directors. Handling the reply to inquiries received from correspondent banks related to AML Reply to questionnaires received from correspondent banks Follow up on KYC update process for all ABK customers. Ad hoc AML tasks Participates or backup Compliance Team in training all ABK-E staff (branches and departments) to enhance the fulfillment of Sanctions, KYC requirements. Manages the Branches/Units’ inquiries related to Sanctions & trade finance concerns. Developing and updating Sanctions procedures, workflow Job
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from reputable university. Minimum of 7 years banking sector experience. With 5 years minimum in compliance Experience in Sanctions and KYC & AML area. Excellent Leadership Skills.
