Medical Assistant Radiology Specialist

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in radiology and possess strong communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, activate patient files, and provide support to patients and medical staff.
  • Communicate with patients on wait times and provide direction to the next step in the treatment process.
  • Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent/hazardous situations.
  • Follow up with patients regarding lab and x-ray results.
  • Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary.
  • Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
  • Maintain examination rooms and stock supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Valid State License to perform X-Rays.
  • BLS Certification required.
