Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Job Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and experience working with diagnostic imaging equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiology procedures, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring the quality of diagnostic imaging equipment. They will also be expected to maintain current licensure and certification for the facility radiologic equipment.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a Tennessee state X-Ray license, and/or ARRT certification. You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive:

  • Perform radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care

  • Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions

  • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education based on certification type; skills in Medical Assisting are required
  • Certification: Tennessee state X-Ray license, and/or ARRT, is required
