Radiology Assistant Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting radiologists with diagnostic imaging procedures, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining the quality of diagnostic imaging equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a Tennessee state X-Ray license, and/or ARRT certification. They will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive:

  • Assist radiologists with diagnostic imaging procedures

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care

  • Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions

  • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education based on certification type; skills in Medical Assisting are required
  • Certification: Tennessee state X-Ray license, and/or ARRT, is required
