As part of our new-country launch in Tunisia, we are seeking an experienced HR Administration Specialist to establish and run core HR operations locally. This is a hands-on role that blends HR administration, employee relations, labor law expertise with the ability to operate autonomously, set up processes from the ground up, and ensure compliance with Tunisian labor law and Cognizant's global standards
In This Role, You Will
Own the employee lifecycle in Tunisia: onboarding, contract issuance, addenda, probation tracking, offboarding.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries (contracts, benefits, leave, policies).
Maintain accurate personnel files, HRIS updates, leaves/absence, benefits and payroll inputs in line with Tunisian labor regulations.
Prepare HR letters and support disciplinary or grievance matters in coordination with Regional HR/Legal.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, Business Administration, or related field.
3–5+ years in a broad HR Generalist role with prior experience in a startup/new-country or scale-up context is a strong plus, including matrix relationships and work with HR shared services.
Solid knowledge of Tunisian employment law, HR administration, and payroll inputs.
Comfortable working autonomously and building processes from scratch.
Bilingual: Fluent French and English (written and spoken).

Prior work in IT/Tech/Services environments and campus relations.
