Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining proper accounting records. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies and support the finance team in meeting reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing (Daily):

  • Verify, code, and enter supplier invoices into the accounting system.

  • Ensure invoices comply with company policies and tax regulations.

• Payment Management (Weekly):

  • Prepare payment runs and ensure timely settlement of supplier accounts.

  • Reconcile payment batches and resolve discrepancies with vendors.

• Vendor Account Reconciliation (Monthly):

  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding balances.

  • Investigate and correct invoice or payment discrepancies.

• Expense & Purchase Order Review (Daily):

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.

  • Follow up with procurement and operations teams to clarify issues.

• Financial Reporting Support (Weekly):

  • Assist with month-end closing activities by providing accurate AP reports.

  • Support auditors by preparing necessary documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or similar role preferred.

• Knowledge of ERP/accounting systems (Infor Syteline) is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
