Role Description This is a full-time, fully remote Student Internship Software Engineer role. The intern will support the engineering team in designing, implementing, and testing backend services that power Xevendra’s CX platform. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, debugging and resolving issues, and contributing to the improvement of existing features and APIs. The role involves close collaboration with senior engineers and product team members to translate requirements into technical solutions, as well as documenting technical work for internal use. The intern will have opportunities to learn modern development practices, work with real production systems, and gain experience in an enterprise-scale software environment. Qualifications
- Solid academic foundation in Computer Science or a closely related field, with ongoing enrollment in a university program.
- Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and general Programming , including familiarity with modern development workflows.
- Knowledge of Back-End Web Development concepts such as APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in building scalable, maintainable systems.
- Comfort working with at least one programming language commonly used for backend development (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or Node.js).
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment, communicate clearly, and follow established engineering standards and documentation practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn from feedback and mentorship.
- Eligibility to work on-site in Berlin and commit to a full-time internship schedule; prior internship or project experience is a plus.
