Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Coordinator to join our team in Tunis. As a key member of our Programme Office, you will be responsible for coordinating the overall implementation of our programmes in Tunisia, ensuring effective management of resources, and promoting high-quality outputs. Your expertise in drug control, crime prevention, and criminal justice will be instrumental in advancing our mission and supporting the Government of Tunisia in addressing these critical issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of the UNODC Tunisia programme, focusing on drug control, human trafficking, corruption, juvenile justice, and maritime crime.
- Lead and oversee the crime prevention and criminal justice portfolio in the MENA region, applying effective human rights-based strategies and improved criminal justice responses.
- Ensure effective fund monitoring and financial management, meeting related reporting obligations and coordinating timely project reviews and revisions.
- Prepare high-quality written outputs, such as background papers, correspondence with governments, working papers, mission reports, presentations, policy proposals, and ad hoc reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in political science, law, economics, public administration, business administration, public health, or social science.
- Minimum seven years of professional experience in providing advisory services to governments, including in developing countries, with expertise in project and programme management, resource mobilization, and liaison with national counterparts and international organizations.
- Profound work experience in drug control and crime prevention issues, preferably in a field office or with an international organization, such as the United Nations system, in areas like criminal justice, rule of law, and human rights.
- Strong research and analytical skills, excellent judgement and negotiating skills, and ability to identify and contribute to problem-solving.
