Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team in Tennessee.
About the Role- This is a FT/PRN opportunity for an individual who is dedicated, compassionate, and experienced in medical assisting/x-ray or radiology tech.
The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, activating patient files, and providing support to patients and medical staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Promptly greeting patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room.
- Consistently communicating with patients on wait times; providing direction to the next step in the treatment process.
- Providing solutions to patient problems and recognizing and seeking help in emergent/hazardous situations.
- Providing timely follow-up regarding lab and x-ray results.
- Executing follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
- Assisting front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary.
- Obtaining and accurately documenting patient vital signs and weight, taking brief history, past medical, family, and social history current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
- Assisting with patient transfers.
- Assisting with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
- Assisting in lab procedures under the supervision of the provider.
- Preparing patients for radiologic procedures and following established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
- Ensuring that equipment is in proper working order and reporting any malfunctions to the Regional Operation Manager or provider on duty.
- Following documentation procedures and completing required documentation related to patient visit.
- Maintaining examination room and stocking if necessary.
- Adhering to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies.
- Performing phlebotomy, injections, medical procedures, and laboratory procedures appropriate for level of training under the direction of a provider.
