We are seeking an exceptional technical lead to join our team and help us drive innovation in the multi-vendor commerce platform space. Our library of modular components, ShareWise, is built using React/Node technology and offers a highly customizable and scalable architecture.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for providing strong technical direction, resolving technical bottlenecks, and overseeing the quality of deliverables. You will work closely with our team to execute our vision for ShareWise, a budget-friendly, flexible, and commercially proven platform for validating and scaling marketplace startups.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Design technical solutions that align with the application's business model and use cases.Create and refine a technical vision aligned with product goals.Nurture a collaborative team feedback culture for optimal outcomes.Foster buy-in and alignment among the team regarding technical vision and granular choices.Lead planning, compiling, and maintaining technical documentation (internal and external).Ensure a high-performance, scalable, and maintainable platform by choosing the right technical architecture, data model, and framework.Apply best practices, avoiding reinvention and making decisions based on impact.Drive Agile methodologies in the team to produce outstanding results.Owning the quality control process, promoting user satisfaction, driving code quality, and pushing product excellence.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of applying design thinking to platform architecture.
  • 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience, building commercially successful frameworks with significant traction.
  • 5+ years of advanced software engineering experience in any competitive product vertical.
  • 3+ years in an Agile environment utilizing Behaviour Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Event Driven Architecture, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
  • 2+ years of experience in a software development leadership role.
  • Recommended exposure to commerce platform development, particularly online marketplaces.

Engineering Skills:

Expertise in NodeJS (5+ years experience).Experience with various NodeJS frameworks (e.g., Express, Nest, Fastify) (5+ years experience).Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (3+ years experience).Developing experience with ReactJS (2+ years experience).Strong understanding of frontend frameworks like NextJS and Headless UI Frameworks (e.g., ShadCN, Radix).Experience with REST APIs / GraphQL.Use of Docker/Terraform in local and production environments.Experience with test automation.Integration of third-party applications (e.g., Stripe, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS, Elasticsearch).
